As resident RB DLC whore (Yeah, take that toolman), you may consider it slightly biased, but I get all my songs through Rock Band.

Generally Harmonix's charting is of higher quality than the Guitar Hero games, which can be hit or miss (They have improved a bit though). For the newer GH5 DLC, the charting has been taken over by Beenox, who did the Greatest Hits game which had some pretty crazy GH3-esque note charts.

It all really depends on how much disk swapping you want to do just to play certain songs- that's why I personally get RB DLC, as every song you can buy on the Australian marketplace (except the beatles + 4 other songs) is able to be played on one RB Disk.

Edit: Just saw you're on Wii. Get Guitar Hero DLC as you can at least export songs from other versions of the game you own, it supports SDHC SD Cards too.
Also, no Stopping Power or Juggernaught/Painkiller!

Awesome choice that actually makes the game a bit more interesting with perk setups.

Well they already put Sam and Max's guns into the game + Max's Severed Head as a hat, so I suppose this is Valve's way of saying thank you icon_razz.gif
Also, China Grove.

F**k. Yes.

They're casually scrolling the full setlist in the background. That's the joke.
The setlist is missing 4 songs.

Quite a hilarious leak to watch, so innocent with a random website just interviewing Harmonix while the devs in the background scrolled through the setlist from C onwards without a care in the world icon_lol_old.gif

EXCITED!
I knew I forgot to do something today.

F**k.
I'm in Denny's boat. It's sinking due to the ████ we're producing.

Standard edition ahoy!

Highlight of playing the demo.

Aside from robbing the Gas Station, waiting for police to arrive, then blowing it up.

Apparently, the developer's 'Treyarch dev Vahn' (real name David Vonderhaar - Multiplayer Design Director for the upcoming CoD game) has strongly suggested the firm will ditch a lot of the imbalances of MW2 multiplayer, including the Commando perk and the controversial nuke killstreak.

Looks good though. Having just gone back to MW2 for **** and giggles, then getting hooked on it again and playing for the past few evenings until bed time, I will most certainly getting Black Ops.

The only disappointment is that the PC version has gone back to dedicated servers again, which is a shame because half the fun of MW2 was smack talking people without fear of repercussion or server bans icon_sad.gif
Then you remember Treyarch's doing their darnest to get the damn map packs free again. icon_smile.gif

The one and only question that matters:

Will it have dedicated servers?

PCDev: "Dedicated servers, another of my favorite topics."

<Yaaaaa!>

PCDev: "We had dedicated servers planned for this title and have never wavered for a moment."

To be honest if they threw this game and reskinned everything to fit the next Michael Bay movie, I'd totally buy it on the premise that it wouldn't be as grey. >_>

More stuff!:

Decided to buy some cymbals for my ION drum kit. For those unaware, the ION drum kit is kind of like an electronic drum kit used primarily for the Rock Band games, and can be used for Guitar Hero. I bought it at the start of the year for $400 imported or something ridiculous like that, and decided to spend $275 on a 3 cymbal expansion kit:
Lovely purchase, I went through the Australian Drum Rocker website and ended up having to go through Consumer Affairs after hearing nothing from them for 5 months at the start of this year. icon_razz.gif

I'm yet to break my pedal on it but I do agree it's pretty bad. Not as bad as the stock ones though.
Re: Limbo Review (1 month ago)
Went into the demo completely blind.

My room was completely silent bar the slight whine of my 360's fans.

Bear trap goes off.

So does the wee down my leg.

In slightly more recent news, a person on GameFAQs posted up a classic "friend in beta testing" list of songs, however, so far- it's been right. D:

Can't wait to be like "Way to go Captain America, you just killed a dog."
Missed it by that much.
Alien Swarm uses an updated Source Engine, which isn't shared with any other Source Game at the moment. So you'll be downloading the full thing.
lol the hat attaches like a facehugger to the soldier.

...Game is amazingly awesome fun though.
Not happening on Black Ops.

The Guitar Hero 5 controller is pretty much the most reliable current gen controller you can get right now.

The GH1/2 SG Guitar is still the most well-built controller ever produced in Guitar Hero (or Rock Band for that matter) history.

I personally use one myself.

Second one to go after is the Guitar Hero 3/Aerosmith Controller, works well if you mod it so the neck stays stationary.

All I can say though is stay well clear of the Guitar Hero World Tour controllers- They look the same as the GH5 controller on the outside, but the internals are pretty dodgy and break easy.

Edit: Stay the hell away from the Logitech Guitars. Some are ok but the buttons are loud and the touch strip is incredibly sensitive and in some cases, can be set off by a breeze.
DICE seem to enjoy doing "Limited Editions" which are essentially the first print of the game that gives some in-game bonuses to people who bought it at launch.

Kinda makes you wish they found a different phrase to label the game >_>

Shamelessly stolen nonetheless.
Re: Skate 3 (1 month ago)
560MSP hey?

...hmmm. Depends how stupidly insane the setup is. (Not really a fan of those megaramp park thingies)

I'm really holding out for the possible Regs Skatepark from the original skate as dlc though. >_>
