The arcade is where I live, the DJ MAX Technika is where I breathe, the bemani machines are where I'll perish.
It's as simple as that really. I like to play rhythm games.

Dick Smith also has them, found that out when we saw some arrive in stock.
Also seems like the Band Hero/DJ Hero bundle is in abundance in various DSEs also.

Re: Super Street Fighter IV Preview (7 months ago)
I'll buy this regardless of price, hopefully there'll be some 360 players and an improved lobby system.
Gotta use that MadCatz Tourney stick on something!
I'm also hoping for some more Street Fighter III love as that's what I play most at Box Hill Timeout. Makoto and Dudley would be awesome and I believe both of them would fit in without too much issue. Wouldn't complain if it was Remy but eh. As long as it's not Sean. >_>

'Sit leave out X2 Korean Ver. ;P However, not 100% sure if Daisuke did that one so I guess it's fair.
Good piece, brilliant music choice to really show his style. Reminds me that I want to buy the Blazblue Arcade and Consumer OSTs.

Re: XBLA: Battlefield 1943 Review (1 year ago)
I'm a big fan of this game, personally. Been playing it a little now, can't wait until I have a few days off to play it for the day.
As someone who has a Series 5 themselves, I can say the TV is decent and definetly worth the price. As that's the B series, they're energy saving as well.
I have a 46" Series A so I think I'll pass but I'd recommend that TV to anyone interested in it.

Re: I'll be leaving PALGN (1 year ago)
Ah, Luke. Big news indeed, it'll (Like most people have said) be a shame to see you leave but career is certainly important and it certainly sounds like you're making a step in the right direction.
The couple of times I've met you you've been really awesome and I wish nothing but the best. I still have you on XBL I believe, shall beat you down in some game sometime I assume. ;D

Re: New game by Square-Enix (1 year ago)
Well, it's Amano's artstyle if that helps any. I doubt Amano would go for Grandia 4. He normally does Final Fantasy artwork.
So I'm expecting something FF related. New tactics game, even though the number would be out of sync? FFT, FFTA, FFTA2.. FF4?
FF IV remake sounds most likely though, but who knows.

42 hours in, this game is certainly long. Definetly well worth the purchase though. =D
Re: This Week's Releases - 08/06/09 (1 year ago)
Kartanym: Dungeon Crawl might be stocking it, gave 'em a buzz and checked.
I'll keep people updated if I find it.

Re: This Week's Releases - 08/06/09 (1 year ago)
Kartanym: Trying to find it myself. It's deleted at EB and GAME however at Dick Smith (Where I work) I've seen games go from Discontinued back to Active. Because the release date was pushed back, that may happen.
And sorry, Dick Smith isn't stocking it. =(

EB Games and GAME have both told me it's Disco and aren't stocking it as of yet countrywide. JB just doesn't have it.

Online play is actually quite a lot of fun if you can get a game. I just changed my locale to US and create matches, can get a game within 5 minutes and often when you find one user you stay on with that user for hours at a time if you want to. When I get to top ten worldwide (I'm not far off, actually) I'll change it back to Australia for patriotic purposes. XD
I'm a massive DW fan though, so I'm biased with it but I've dumped over 50 hours into DW:G2 so far. Mission Mode is quite expanded, most of that time was beating that with ONE character.
If people want to try it online, just message my GT (Same as my username) on 360 and I'll give you a game.

Nami Tamaki isn't bad either actually, she's worth checking out.
Backing up Vervain here. Guitar Wolf are most awesome, you can find their movie (Wild Zero) for around $30 as it's now a Madman Eastern Eye DVD. Watching them live is awesome too.Watch out though, my best friend was punched in the face by the lead guitarist last time I went.
Just imagine Japanese Sex Pistols and you have Guitar Wolf.
Also, they're trying to find sponsors for Wild Zero 2. XD
BLOOD is the main J-band I listen to. That said, if you can find anything by Orochi go for it. Orochi is a kabuki rock band based in Melbourne which has unfortunately split now however their music was simple awesome.

Re: Warriors Orochi 2 Review (1 year ago)
Thank lord I'm a hardcore Warriors fanatic. XD Otherwise the game really would be boring for most I'd agree.
I however don't mind just cheesing out and mashing buttons for a while to listen to some kind of imaginary story. =D

Re: Tim Richards passes away (1 year ago)
As someone's that has talked to Tim many, many times over the last couple of years, he was a great man who always with Dissecta tried his best. As quiet as he tended to be, if you started a conversation with him you'd be talking with him for hours about some simply amazing things!
Rest in peace Tim.

Oh, I'd have been easily found. This is what I'd have worn. Minus the keyblade.

Re: de Blob VIP Party winners announced (1 year ago)
I'm happy I won! Thanks for the comp!
However, the sheer lack of warning and communication (I had no net access on Thursday) meant I completely missed the party as I recieved the e-mail from THQ with the details on Thursday morning, where I was not at home and not able to access the details. Annoying thing is, I was in the city with absolutely nothing to do at that time as well. >_<
So, to the other two that went how was it? How did it go?

Re: Soul Calibur IV Thread (2 years ago)
So much trouble findingg 5 latency games. I'll get 'em eventually though! Just need to keep at it.
Having more fun with it now though! Just fought against a Goku.

Just use Maxi and spam a little, you'll win that way!
Mitsu is easy as he relies mainly on single strikes or two hit combos. Kilik isn't too tricky either. Cervantes I just can't use online though. >_<
