Was on the train today and these stupid kids threw rocks at the train as it was pulling out of a station.
Honestly, these youths are just little idiots. What the hell do they find so amusing about throwing rocks at a train? Don't they realise that they risk breaking the window and seriously hurting someone? Also, it's no wonder they keep increasing ticket prices in Adelaide - they need to keep repairing all those god damn windows!
I don't think the driver noticed as he kept driving along, but all the passangers in my carridge looked at the youths and I even muttered under my breath "stupid youths". In all honesty, if I had been out on the street myself, I would have thrown a rock at them and seen how they liked it.
EDIT: On an unrelated note, 5000th post! Probably something that should have been posted in the Smile Thread... All well.

Yeah it was, down at Swish. I wasn't there for very long as I had just come from a conference at the Convention Centre and was heading off for dinner. Apparently there is another work drinks on the 27th, which I've been told I'm going to be attending.

That could be very good news. The new boss seems to be picking out people based on how well they work and fit in with the business. I met him at a work drink thing last week, and he seemed like a pretty good person.
And yeah, I haven't talked to him too much but the new boss seems like a pretty great guy. He's very down to earth and some of the changes (although minor) he's brought into the workplace has definitely been for the better. Also, he knows my name and always makes a point of saying hello to everyone as he walks past them. One thing I noted was also how he made a point of visiting everyone and casually introducing himself on a one-on-one basis. Even weeks after formally starting he was still introducing himself to people he hadn't met yet (namely the casuals who mainly work on weekends and the full-timers who were on holidays). He just presents himself nicely, that's all I can really say.

Today at work I was chatting to a co-worker and for some reason we mentioned the Seinfeld episode were kramer is santa clause. The whole day we repeated the following scene and laughed:
Also, today a customer gave me a commendation. Was a surprise and I actually found out from the big boss who came over to congratulate me on a job well done. Not bad considering he's a new boss and only started about a month ago. Yay for looking good in front of the new boss!

I was in JB Hi-Fi today and purchased Murcury for PSP. Now, I was willing to pay a good $27 for it. When I walk up to the counter, it scans in at $5. I walked away with a big smile on my face and extra cash in my wallet!

Re: Your newest purchase (1 month ago)
I thought I would introduce all of you to the newest member of my family... In the newest purchase thread...
For the grand total of $25 I present to you all my brand new PS3 console.
The PS3 meets the other members of my family
Wait a second, did I just say $25? Yes I did, it is not a typo. Remember how I purchased a new TV a few weeks ago? Well, the TV came with a redemption offer for a PS3 from Sony. I paid $25 for postage and handling and I get the PS3 for free. It arrived on Wednesday morning, much to my surprise as Sony didn't email me (until after I got it anyway) that they had shipped it off. I've mainly been playing Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction as well as a little Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm.
My PSN id is "MentalKnight" if anyone wants to add me.

EB Games has Splinter Cell Conviction for 50% off. It was marked under the Manager's Special area thing. I can't recall if it was part of the regular June/July sale or not.
Re: Your newest purchase (2 months ago)
Let's see, I've been spending waaaaay too much lately...
Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed: $12
Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City with Wii Speak: $20
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm: $39
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction: $24
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty (disc version): $30
PS3 HDMI cable GameWare brand: $14 (I know, I miss out on the $4 deal)
PS3 remote control for DVDs and Blu-Rays: $14
WipeOut HD (disc version): $25
Samurai Warriors 3: $75
Super Mario Galaxy 2: $69
Official Xbox 360 HDMI cable: $47 (I know, shut up about the price)
Screwdriver kit: $14
LCD cleaning kit: $9
Official Xbox 360 microphone: $5
Super Princess Peach: $20
And...
A new Sony TV with a cabinet and 3 years extended warranty! I ain't mentioning the price or model number since I don't need the technical minded taking the joy away from my biggest purchase this year and what I've been saving up for since gaining employment. I've kept putting it off, but I finally purchased it! Oh, and I should be getting a PS3 console via redemption.
Hence why I'm buying all this PS3 gear without actually owning one yet.
Pics from my crappy phone camera... I think I know what I'll be getting next!!!

My point is just continue following your ambitions in life and eventually you'll succeed. And when you do succeed, you'll always have that to throw back in your father's face.
As terrible as this sounds, the mere fact I was able to prove my father wrong and he himself has done some pretty terrible things in the past year has given me a sort of insurance. I now have plenty of material to use against him should he choose to get on my back over something. I can hit him where it hurts spiritually and emotionally if I want to... And it will be something I use as a last resort when the time comes...

let me tell you that most emails are ignored. If you take the time to write a letter and then post it. It will be taken much more seriously. Put your complaint in writing and record the dates etc for your own reference.
Then the Management have no choice but to take you and your complaint seriously.
Though looking to get someone fired because they havn't had adequate training due to the company is a little harsh.

And I agree with having someone fired being harsh... Namely because I recently dodged a customer wanting to lodge a complaint against me because I gave information which I thought was policy that actually wasn't. Of course he was just **** off that he was running late, and I was merely relaying information they told us about in training. I will never use the term "policy" when speaking to a customer again, they get far too cocky. As for said customer, it was his fault for not being there on time in the first place and he can use another service for all I care if he isn't happy about getting out of bed two **** minutes earlier.
Re: Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 Discussion [PS3/360] (3 months ago)
The original Naruto Ultimate Ninja on PS2 was what introduced me to the world of Naruto and ever since then I've become a fan of the series. Ironically though I haven't played an Ultimate Ninja game since that first outing on PS2, so I'm looking forward to getting this one on 360 when it comes out.
Personally I want to fight as Tobi. I'd be surprised if he isn't in the game as a playable character given they go up to the Pain's Invasion arc in the game. Remember, Tobi is a good boy!

I ended up running into everyone on my way back to work. My hair was in a mess, I shudder to think what the photos look like!
Great seeing you all, sorry I couldn't stay longer than 10mins but I had to get back to work. Oh, and Pudding got a hug from me because he's special.
And for those wondering, everyone dresses in casual clothing on weekends in the office!

Being sick for a majority of the week. It started out as a humble sore throat, now my nose is runny and I've had trouble sleeping as well. Good thing is I'm finally starting to feel better.
Re: What made you smile today? (3 months ago)
My supervisor said something today which sparked memories of how **** everything was for me only six months ago. It made me smile to think I've come along way and how everything has finally changed for the better.
Also, a few days ago I did a dance at work while singing papa loves mumbo... Yeah, I think I took one too many pills for my cold or something.
Oh, and going on shopping sprees. I love shopping.

I believe I'm gaining a lot of respect in the office. I started working only four or so months ago, but I'm finding people saying hello to me as I walk in, people joking with me about stuff, and in general everyone is just super friendly (minus one individual who gets under my skin a little, but they annoy just about everyone so meh).
The other day I had a performance review and my trainer/superior more or less said she thinks I'm going well. There are a few areas I can improve in, but otherwise she thinks I'm doing fine. After hearing my own calls I picked up on a few mistakes I made and was sort of panicking over what they'd say about them, but they actually said I was fairly hard on myself and that I was following procedures and was treating customers with the right amount of respect etc. In other words, I'm in the green/black/whatever you want to call it.
Also - it was fun playing pacman between customers today. Thanks google!

I had a customer who wanted to go to a Scott Street, and I mistakenly thought she wanted to go to Scotch Street. When she corrected me I said "I'm not sure what made me think Scotch Street" to which she giggled. Then I took it further and said "I don't even drink Scotch" and she just burst out laughing. Laughs aside, I gave her the information and she ended the call by saying something alone the lines of "and you have a glass of scotch when you finish work today".
My bad sense of humour + cheeky customer = a fun day at work.

Today I was serving a customer and after we had finished our conversation I managed to catch what he said to his mate as he put the phone back down on the receiver...
"that guy sounded so gay"
I just burst out laughing.
Also, again I laugh at how all the seniors seem to think I'm a woman when I talk on the phone. I know my voice isn't that deep... but still!
