HEAPS OF POKEMON.
I'm playing Pearl Version. My girlfriend is playing Diamond and my best friend is playing Heart Gold.
Its pretty awesome that we all rediscovered these games at the same time!
but. The new pokemon seam to be super hard to find compared to all the Geodude's that are running rampant through the tall grass fields of the Sinnoh region.
It honestly feels like Geodude's are 90% of the population on this island. and I never particularly cared much for Geodude!

My band's first CD. hand-crafted artwork. completely DIY. and they're selling! ^_^
Re: What game are you playing? (3 weeks ago)
mutliplayer fun lately.
Warcraft 3 LAN. a few random games to get back into the swing of it. I can kill with undead, thats about all. The ole' create a billion spiders and dig underground trick.
AND another game I have affectionately retitled after its only decent mode of play and (split-screen) best 1 on 1 level EVER. Rust (feat. Call of Duty 6). (PS3) Basically never gets old.
Also borrowed Worms Open Warfare for DS Lite off a friend. Pretty good for little bursts of gaming, especially the challenges.
and finally, Super Street Fighter 4 on PS3. I've been using characters whose names I can't remember because they're not Ryu or Ken. its a really nice change of pace to the usual Ryu vs. Zangief that I'm used to with my broseph gamer Yuri_Gasbar. I like how the new characters playstyles don't seem to fit at all until you've played with them and start to realise their little quirks are made that way for a reason. like vertical punches and stuff. and weird jumping arcs. good times.

I've tried to get into Arcade Fire, mostly funeral, but I found them wholey a little bit forgettable. I might have to give their latest album a try as I've heard nothing but good things about it..
Not a giant fan of it, but it does have some lovely moments.
I've been listening to Women, PVT, Cursive, Cannibal Ox, DD/MM/YYYY, Dessert Sessions, Weezer. random crap. good times!
Re: Which was the last game you finished? (1 month ago)
Finished Dragon Age: Origins this morning. 58 hours 38 minutes 01 second.
I don't finish many RPGs without getting sick of everything, but this was pretty much fun from start to finish. Killing the Dragon at the end was bitter sweet. at first he was demolishing my team, but then I found a glitch and was able to attack him taking tiny bits of health off without losing much health at all.
Good thing I like glitches I suppose. Its not like it ruined the story.

Drunk History.
I adore this one.
"Leeches and Snakes"
Probably pretty old, but if you've seen it before... maybe you should watch it again.

^Man that dudes Ibanez looks like a guitar hero controller. Well at least it looks like the old Ibanez logo.
Its basically a Jet King with only one pickup/volume knob and the oldschool Gibson style headstock. Makes it look heaps more pro than a standard Jet King, I reckon.
The Omar sig is pretty fantastic guitar. Really cheap too. I think we picked it up for like $650. The pickup is so noisy and dirty and loud. Lots of character.

Couple of nice shots from a gig at Hamilton Station Hotel, Newcastle. July 25th, 2010.

This was his first go at doing live music photography. I think they turned out pretty nice

Re: Your newest purchase (1 month ago)
I just 650'd myself some new toys.
I also purchased a new laptop bag that has room for books and have further reserved some of the $650 for a
PROVISIONAL LICENSE (for if I pass my test on Wednesday) and UNI TEXT BOOKS (for when I find out exactly which ones I need).
I also went halvies with my friend Bert to purchase a Yamaha Stagepas 4 Channel mixer and two speakers, for band practice.

Re: PS3 Firmware: 3.41 (1 month ago)
Updates and loadtimes. Two things that I hope become transparent in the next generation of consoles.
It'd be great to have all that crap happen on the fly while you're already playing the game, for example.

^ That makes a little more sense then. Cool. Might check it out after all
Re: Street Fighter vs Tekken is for real (1 month ago)
It looks like it plays just like Street Fighter, but with Tekken characters. Kinda pointless.

Re: Steve Carell leaving The Office US (2 months ago)
US Office is the brilliance. you're all crazy.
I think the latest series of Scrubs shows that losing cast members can sometimes kickstart a show into a new and better direction.
New Entourage was a bit bland, but its Piven. so stfu (not really guys, <3).
There's a show I'd stop watching if it lost a certain character named Ari Gold.

So much "YES" that the word is now broken.
Nick Cave and Grinderman at the Tivoli a few years ago was a gosh darn gig to remember. So keen.

Re: What game are you playing? (2 months ago)
Dragon Age: Origins Mac/PC (via bootcamp)
So I'm roughly 25 hours into the game, and I think now is the time to ask the forums, does this game EVER END????
I've been addicted for the last couple of days. Quest - after side-quest - after quest - after side-quest! I'm not much of an RPG guy, (or PC games guy...) but lately I've had some spare time, so I thought I'd properly sink into something. This game was a good choice! its completely immersive and the story is fantastic.
Graphically it can be stunning, even on low settings. I've been keeping settings low for speed - then boosting settings when I see something that looks really nice in the environment, just for the brief wow factor.
The joy! I didn't know a single thing about the game before going in. I thought it was going to be like Final Fantasy or something, not like a Warcraft III/Diablo/Fallout hybrid.
BioWare, eh? where the heck did they come from?
/rant.
also intermitently playing Skate 3 and Assassins Creed II on PS3, but...
"Meh" compared to this experience. ^____^

Looks like Killzone 2 :)
Some of the animations are lame. lame. lame. like the guy on the turret. his feet don't move or anything. he's just sliding around like a Doom sprite.

Prediction: of the 50 games that get shown. I might purchase one of them. But unlikely. None of the games on page 1 are grabbing me in the slightest.
But some Episode 3 action would be nice.
Also, how laggy is Natal in that video.
